purse on my doorstep

Post  gwen on Sat Aug 29, 2009 6:51 am

Okay, so I totally don't know about purses. But my aunt dropped off a bunch of stuff for me (hand me down clothes and whatnot) while I wasn't home this afternoon. She has really classy taste, a lot of the clothes still had tags on them, lol. Well, in the bag was this cute little purse that has a little tag hanging off it that says 'Coach' on the leather part and has it stamped on the inside too. It's brand new! It still has the stuffing inside! Now, don't throttle me, but I swear I heard somewhere that those are nice purses. Are they? I might keep it if it is, lol!

Coach = your friend lol
You can take it and have someone in the fashion industry look at it, they can tell you if it is a well made phony or the real deal.

Lol, people make fake ones? Where do I go to find out if it's real? Course, I could always ask my aunt if she actually bought it from a coach place or somewhere else. It's kinda cute because it's smaller. If I get a small wallet, I can use it. I have WAY too many cards between my kids' library, rec center, debit, grocery store, etc, lol!

I'm glad I'm not totally out of it. I knew I heard about Coach somewhere. So I'm not a complete lost cause hehehe Not Me

Before you toss the other stuff let us know what it is just in case you have more treasures. I'm thinking tags on and tissue inside its likely real. Too I bet you don't have as many knock off pedlers around you as say chi or NY. We sure don't.

When I took out the tissue, this is what I say on the inside:

If it's a fake, it's a damn good one. Thelma is the Coach expert, but it looks real to me.

My friend got Louis Vuitton fake a few years ago for $20. It looked identical to a real one.

It certainly looks real. Depending on the size in the store I'm thinking it was the 150 range. Enjoy!

i love coach purses! it looks like a real one to me, the fakes are normally good but the stitching isn't normally as good. it's hard to tell from the picture but it does look real Wink

that was really nice of your aunt! tell us more about the clothes!

here's the website if you want to look at some of the other purses to get an idea.

The inside and the stitching looks the same as mine. I know mine are real. I buy them in a Coach Store. If they're ripping me off then I'm in trouble! I would say that one is real. You could always call Coach, give them the serial # listed and the style. They could probably tell you if it were real by that info.

Thanks guys! My aunt says she bought it from the actual Coach store Smile

I need to get a wallet, then I will use it as my regular purse. Just in time too, because I've had my last one for like,years now! It's starting to fall apart =P

As far as the clothes, my aunt loves Ann Taylor Loft it seems, there's tons of stuff that say that on the tag. Have no clue who that is. I don't think it's anyone fancy. But there is a few Vera Wang (who I actually know because of America's Next Top Model, lol), and then Old Navy.
