This is not surprising...

Post  Jess on Thu Sep 17, 2009 1:23 am

After I read the last sentence, it might be a good thing for the dogs. But the whole situation gives me douche chills.

Jon Gosselin Sends Dogs Back to Breeder, Blames Estranged Wife Kate
16-Sep-2009
Written by: TheCelebrityCafe.com Staff

Co-star of the reality show “Jon and Kate Plus 8,” Jon Gosselin gets rid of his two dogs.

RadarOnline.com is reporting that reality television personality Jon Gosselin, the co-star of the popular reality television show “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” has sent his two German Shepherd’s back to their original breeder as a result of the fallout between he and his estranged wife, Kate. Radar Online’s official website is currently displaying pictures of the two German Shepherds locked inside of a cage as they are being driven away.

Jon and Kate, who refuse to spend time around each other and split time at their Pennsylvania residence, has now rid themselves of their family pets, Nala and Shoka. Jon is reportedly blaming his estranged wife over the entire situation since he is claiming that she refused to take care of the dogs while she spent time at their home.

The dysfunctional former couple goes out of their way to avoid contact with one another at every possible turn and now their inability to compromise has taken the two family dogs away from their eight children, according to RadarOnline.com.

However, that may not necessarily be considered a negative for the well-being of the two German Shepherds since controversy arose earlier this summer within the community in response to Jon Gosselin’s comments about how the eight children treated the dogs.

His comment, which was given to People Magazine a few months ago, read, "Those kids beat them up, climb on them, pull their tails, bite at them, drag them around and everything you can imagine not to do to an animal, they've done.”

I'm glad they took the dogs back to the breeder. It was the right thing to do in that situation. I will not blame Jon for any of this though. As far as I'm concerned Kate's a bitch and Jon was the innocent victim. He may not be innocent anymore but it started out that way. I have nothing to base my opinion on, that's just how I feel. lol!

I'm glad the dogs went back too. I don't watch that show, but I feel like I know it well because of the media coverage, lol. It kinda disturbs me that the show is still on at all. Those parents are acting like children =P

I can honestly say, Kate hated those dogs and made them live in a crate 24-7 even though they live on all that land. I believe it was Kates idea to get not only one but two puppies for the kids and then admitted tons of times on camera to "hating" the dogs. Even saying they were going back after like a week...

Jon has recently purchased a tiny NY apartment so I wouldn't think two GSD's would be welcomed there.

One of the dogs had to have surgery not long after they got them because they ate one of the kids toys.
While I don't agree with rehoming, I kind of understand why he did it. I am also glad he sent them back to the breeder. He is not there half of the time and she beats her kids the way she does (she even keeps a wooden spoon in the door of the van) I can imagine the lives those dogs lived.

On the last episode I laughed when Kate said "I am here most of the time. And Jon some of the time..." then two sentences later... "I have to make the most of my time with them (the kids) because I only have half of the time."
Hmmmmm, seems someone isn't taking "the high road" she claims and also has a terrible problem with math! She just cannot stop herself from taking those digs.

I hope the kids aren't too horribly heart broken. Jon loved his dogs and spent a lot of time with them when he was there, it had to be a hard choice for him. Took longer than I thought it would...

Laney, I agree with you 100%. I was reading an article by a psychologist not long ago that believe it or not, Jon is actually behaving as most men when they get out from the type of relationship he has.
They go over board with all the freedom, cramming as much as they can as fast as possible. It has to suck to have every step documented though.

He should calm down shortly.

I liked his interview, Kate must have been cussing lol I can't stand her. How many magazine covers and "poor me" parties can she get herself?

I wanted to vomit when I saw her on the view acting like a star struck kid, that fake bleached, plastic smile. Ugh.
She is getting her own show now run
Great, she is going to instruct the idiots who idolize her how to destroy their families and step over people to get to the top. At least she will have her own style team on TV so she won't be such an eye sore.

I feel more sorry for the kids than the dogs. THat sounded mean, but let me explain. I know the dogs will go to a good home. Those poor kids lost their pets. That's heartwrenching, especially at that age.

I don't feel bad for the dogs either now that they are away from Kate. They get to be dogs!

Can you imagine with six of them, and all of that land what those kids have done to those dogs? Yikes.
Taking right after mommy. Fainting

Takes a couple of watches to see exactly how disturbing that video clip is.

First Hannah does a tap on the male Shepherds head with the plastic bat :15.

Then in the scuffle :30, Alexis smacks the female Shepherd like three times grabs her by the collar, Hannah drops the plastic bat, Alexis picks it up swings at Nalas face and misses then chases her and taps her on the butt with it. When Nala walks back towards that kids and sits she gets another tap on the head with the plastic bat for good measure.

They're lucky none of them got bit. Nanny? Why do you not see the nanny on the show? She needs to tell those kids to keep their hands to themselves.

Oy....I get a headache just thinking what it would be like to raise 8 kids, yikes! The little girl pushed her bike down the drive and her brother took the fall for it. He kept saying, "I didn't do it!" The dogs seemed skiddish of the kids. They must get picked on a lot. I can't stand when kids are mean to animals and the parents don't think anything of it. That's how my neice is. She's so mean to the barn kittens/cats up in Idaho, and no one says anything! Like, because they're barn cats it's somehow okay or something. I rip into her though Not Me

I know what you mean, Gwen. Cruelty to animals pisses me off more than just about anything else in the world! I'm pretty laid back and don't get upset about much, but that always pulls my trigger! Neglect and abuse of elderly people is another one that gets me. If I were ever lucky enough to win the lottery, that's where my money would go-animals and the elderly.

Oh she just needed a break! That makes sense. Becky you don't take your dogs to the humane society when you're busy? WTF What a flake she is.

Gee I can't imagine she doesn't have time to spend with the kids. What with all the tv shows she's been doing. Can't she just stay home and enjoy spending time with her children? Greedy woman.

Jess, oh yes. I trade my dogs daily to accessorize Wink lol
It's amusing how Kates people are now calling them Jon's dogs and tried to make Jon look bad when the dogs went. Yes, he bonded and spent the most time with those dogs but it was Kate who wanted not one, but two. Kate who INSISTED on naming them...

Oh the irony. I guess it sucks when you realize that the camera in your face is documenting the fact that you contradict yourself every other sentence.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-XMuFkXCgw
That discussion took place whilst she leaves her children during her custody for days with a babysitter (she no doubt picked...) to tape The View and do other appearances, as well as tape the pilot to the new show she's trying to cohost!

Whoopi was really very passive in that clip, I would have torn her fake, ignorant ass a new one!
